CamScan FZCO Limited today finished the final stage of development and testing for a new cost-effective high definition video module for IP cameras. The module employs Sony’s Exmor chipset and supports 1080p resolution video at real-time frame rates. Further, it supports day & night ICR cut filters and varifocal lenses.
Full HD resolution, multi-streaming, built-in PoE, 3D noise reduction, motion detection, two-way audio support, privacy masking, and ONVIF support are the main features of the new Full HD IP camera module.
The module is available in an indoor fixed lens dome camera enclosure (CS-IPSD6000C) and is ready for mass production. Infrared illuminators are optional on the dome camera.
It is projected by the end of January, 2014 to have a full series of cost-effective HD IP cameras for small and medium-sized business applications. The plastic indoor CS-IPSD6000 series will come in 3 lens options (A motorized, B vari-focal, and C fixed). Outdoor bullet camera CS-IPIR6000 series will also feature the same 3 lens options.
The cameras will be marketed as the Cost Effective IP6000 SeriesTM and are expected to meet consumer demands for affordable full HD recording.

In cooperation with a Korean thermal sensor board manufacturer, CamScan FZCO Limited today released a thermal PTZ camera with 320 x 240 pixel resolution.
The camera comes in CamScan FZCO’s standard rugged 200m IR PTZ enclosure. It consists of two cameras in the same housing. The first is a thermal sensor fixed lens camera and the second a 20x optical zoom HD-SDI module that can display 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second. The thermal sensor video output is displayed as a PIP (picture in picture) while the HD-SDI zoom video output occupies the full screen. Other standard features include built-in wipers, 3D digital noise reduction, 32x digital zoom, and IP66 rating.
Due to large coverage distance, the PTZ camera is ideal for border protection applications, where human or animal intrusions pose the biggest threat. Under CamScan FZCO’s tests, humans were detected up to 549 meters away.
CamScan FZCO will release the IP camera version of the thermal PTZ by the end of Q3, 2014.

CamScan FZCO Limited developed a new series of cameras and DVR’s based on AHD technology.
The new cameras deliver 720p resolution video at 30 frames per second over conventional 5C2V or 3C2V coaxial cables or twisted pair cables. This is achieved using Sony’s IMX238 CMOS sensor chip and NextChip’s 2430H ISP chip.
The current AHD solution has been integrated onto a full range of cameras both indoor and outdoor with fixed and vari-focal lens. Hybrid AHD DVR’s have also been released which support 4 and 8 channel video at AHD or standard analogue formats.
CamScan FZCO will follow this development with 1080p resolution at 30 frames per second AHD cameras in Q1 of 2015.
August 4th, 2014
CamScan FZCO Limited finished developing and testing a new series of analogue cameras that support 1000 TVL resolution.
Using Sony’s IMX138 CMOS sensor chip, CamScan FZCO was able to develop a new solution for indoor and outdoor analogue cameras with 1000 TVL resolution at 30 frames per second. Both fixed lens and vari-focal lens options are available with the current 1000 TVL solution.
Due to the high computing power of the ISP and the double-scan sensor chip feature, some unique options are realized in CamScan FZCO’s 1000 TVL solution. For example, real wide dynamic range (WDR) is supported across all CamScan FZCO 1000 TVL cameras. Also, intelligent motion detection and tracking is realized, whereby a moving object or human will be tracked.
Other important features include:

CamScan FZCO Limited launches its first Ultra High Definition (UHD) IP box camera.
8 megapixel resolution (4K2K) with 30 frames per second real-time streaming means a single camera will equal the coverage of four full HD 1080p resolution cameras. The UHD IP cameras can also stream 6 megapixel resolution at 30 fps, 3 megapixel resolution at 60 fps, or 2 megapixel full HD resolution at 120 fps. Quad streaming is possible to allow for flexibility in any project installation.
CamScan FZCO UHD IP cameras utilize Sony’s 8MP CMOS sensor chip and a state-of-the-art SOC to achieve functions such as wide dynamic range (WDR), multiple regions of interest (ROI), 3D noise reduction, auto back focus (ABF), quad streaming support and much more.
These cameras are ideal for applications where a large area needs to be monitored where one UHD camera set to 8 megapixel resolution will replace four full HD cameras. Alternatively, UHD cameras may be installed in areas where there are fast moving objects like a highway where 120 framerates capture vehicle plate numbers.
In Q1 of 2015, CamScan FZCO will follow with more UHD IP cameras, namely dome and bullet cameras.
October 1st, 2014
CamScan FZCO Limited released two new SDI solutions for indoor and outdoor cameras, both vari-focal and fixed lens.
The first solution is an EX-SDI and HD-SDI hybrid camera solution, where video output may be switched between HD-SDI and EX-SDI via a built-in OSD menu. In either mode, video resolution is 1080p at 60 frames per second. Real wide dynamic range (WDR) is supported across both modes. EX-SDI mode will deliver full HD video over a 300m stretch of RG59 coaxial cable without any signal loss.
The second solution is an EX-SDI, HD-SDI, TVI, and analogue all-hybrid camera solution, where video output may be switched between any of these formats via the OSD menu. Again, 1080p resolution at 60 frames per second with WDR are standard features of CamScan FZCO’s all-hybrid camera solution. This possible by employing Eyenix’s ISP in conjunction with Sony’s Exmor sensor chip.
Furthermore, CamScan FZCO is working on adding 1080p AHD video output to the same solution, this will be ready by Q1 of 2015.
November 3rd, 2014
CamScan FZCO Limited launched an all-hybrid digital video recording (DVR) solution that supports analogue, TVI, HD-SDI, and EX-SDI video formats.
The solution comes in two options, an 8 channel system and a 16 channel system. Both variants support display and recording of 1080p full HD resolution at 30 frames per second per channel across all channels. Up to 8 TB of video can be stored on each DVR.
An advanced mobile phone application (myCCTV) has been released that works on iOS, Android, and Blackberry smartphone platforms.
Other features include:
